What are mylar ballons?

Mylar balloons, also known as foil balloons, are shiny balloons made of a thin but sturdy polyester film covered by a metallic or shiny coating (BoPET) to create a bright and reflective surface.

This surface allows for detailed graphics and vibrant colors and comes with a variety of shapes, such as stars, hearts, letters, numbers, as well as cartoon characters, suitable as inflatable decorations for different themed parties.

Being less porous means air or helium is less likely to leak out, making mylar balloons last longer for days or even weeks.

However, after the party ends, it should be disposed of properly as it is non-biodegradable and can do harm to the environment.
