How long does a balloon last?

Many factors will affect the inflated time of balloons, including materials, sizes, gases inflated, and the environmental temperature it was displayed:

  1. Foil balloons last longer than latex balloons.
  2. Air filled balloons last longer than those filled with helium.
  3. Latex balloons that treated with Hi-Float can hold helium longer.
  4. Balloons displayed indoor last longer than those outdoor.
  5. Balloons last longer in colder temperature than hotter temperature.
  6. The larger the balloon size, the longer the helium can be hold.

Here are several examples:
1. Latex balloons that filled with air can last 1-2 weeks or longer indoors, when displayed outdoors can also remain inflated in 1-3 days.

2. If filled with helium, the larger the balloon size is, the longer it will stay inflated. A 24-inch latex balloon can remain inflated for 2-3 days indoor and 1-2 days outdoor, while a 9-inch latex balloon can only last 6-8 hours indoor and 3-5 hours outdoor.

3. Foil balloons filled with air can last weeks to months indoor and only 3-7 days outdoor. But if filled with helium, it can last 3-10 days indoor but 1-4 days outdoor.
